Square Route Events was set up by David Pyne in 2012. David spent 10 years with Bristol City Council’s Festivals and Events Team from 2001 to 2011, delivering major events such as Bristol Harbour Festival, Bristol Half Marathon and many more. He has experience of event production, managing corporate sponsorship and coordinating extensive marketing campaigns. Since 2011, he has worked in a variety of events and marketing roles at Tobacco Factory, one of Bristol's most well known multi-purpose venues.
Géraldine Wise joined Square Route Events in 2020. A self-confessed market addict, she has been managing Tobacco Factory Sunday Market since 2014, and in 2020 established her highly successful ‘Bristol Market’ – a weekly Instagram online market for local makers. As well as her love of markets and her French bonhomie, she brings social media expertise and 20 years of experience – spanning event management with WOMAD, touring with bands such as Tinariwen, Alice Russell and Ultravox.
Between them, David and Geraldine have a wealth of experience and extensive contacts in the Bristol markets and events sector.
